Q. What measures can be taken at home to relieve sinus pain?
|
 |
| |
A. Breathing in warm moist air may alleviate sinus congestion. You can do this by boiling water in a pan and allowing the steam to enter the atmosphere. The pan should however not be left on the hot stove, and should be removed immediately.
If you use a humidifier, you should ensure it is fitted with a clear filter to stop bacteria or fungal spores from spraying into the air.
Warm compresses can be used to help relieve pain in the nose and sinuses.
