This large yellow flower is more commonly known as leopard's bane or mountain arnica. It grows naturally in the mountains of Europe and Siberia, and is farmed in North America. Since the year 1500 it has been used for medicinal purposes and is still very popular today.

Arnica Montana in its homeopathic form can be used to soothe muscle and joint pain throughout the body, treat sprains, reduce inflammation and heal wounds and bruises that have been caused by falls, injuries or blows. It assists the body’s normal healing processes by making it easy to transport blood and fluid buildup through wider blood capillaries just under the skin. It helps treat bacterial and pus infected wounds and even tinnitus (noise in ears).

Ignatia Amara

This remedy comes from a small tree named after the patron saint of spiritual retreats and exercises. The seed pods which come from the St. Ignatius bean tree is used to make this tincture.  These pods contain the strychnine. Strychnine is a powerful poison that acts on the central nervous system.
